We believe the local church is central to God’s mission and the primary context for Christian formation. For this reason, all training at Missio Dei Northeast is embedded within the life of the church. Students are not formed in isolation, but through worship, community, service, and discipleship alongside other believers in their local church. This model ensures that learning is consistently practiced, tested, and refined within a living body, and that students are equipped to serve the church faithfully. Theology is not detached from the church—it is learned in the church, for the good of the church, and for the sake of Christ’s mission.

Rather than separating theological education from pastoral care, we believe formation happens best under the guidance of faithful shepherds who know their people.
